Behavioral Sciences

Behavioral sciences is essentially a collective term identifying a number of discipline that study human behaviors.

Behavioral sciences is science disciplines in which the actions and reactions of humans and animals are studied through observational and experimental methods.

These include psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology and history.

The understanding from all these disciplines contributes towards enhancing understanding of human behaviors. Behavioral sciences have contributing significantly to understanding of consumer buying behaviors.

Marketing sciences is the behavioral science that seeks to explain exchange relationships. Marketing science sleeks to answer this question: why do, which buyers purchase, what they do, where they do, when they do, and how they do?

Economics theory of production, exchange and consumption of goods and services is the basis of many marketing principles such as the satisfaction of consumer wants and needs and the consumer buying models.

Behavioral sciences orientation can help designers plan intervention in terms of behavioral objectives. They are called in to develop programs to inform people, to make them aware or to involve them emotionally.
